PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A man accused of running from police into a stranger's home in southeast Portland, where a man hit him with a baseball bat, has pleaded guilty.
Police tried to serve a warrant in February for Larontae Robinson. He was wanted on a probation violation.
Police said he ran from his apartment complex into a neighborhood on Southeast Salmon Street.
He hopped fences and forced his way into a home, where he was met by a homeowner carrying a baseball bat.
The homeowner said he cracked the bat on Robinson's head. The suspect was taken to the hospital and then booked into jail.
He pleaded guilty Monday to charges including burglary. Additional charges like attempted assault and interfering with a police officer were dismissed as part of a plea deal.
He will be sentenced on Aug. 13.
