PORTLAND, OR (AP) -
The biological mother of a missing Oregon boy says her civil suit against the boy's stepmother should move forward.
Desiree Young says in a motion to be filed in court on Thursday that Terri Horman should not be allowed to delay Young's suit by two years.
Horman asked for the delay last month, saying a criminal investigation should conclude before Young's suit goes forward.
Kyron Horman was age 7 when he vanished from a June 2010 science fair and investigators have found no trace of him.
Young contends Horman knows where the boy is. She is trying to force Horman to give information about him.
Police have not named Horman as a suspect or filed charges but have focused on her during the investigation.
