PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Portland is the site of some of the steamiest scenes in the controversial novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.
And now the author is coming to town.
E. L. James will be at Powell's Books, 1005 W. Burnside St. in Portland on Sept. 24.
Vintage Books announced that the Britain-based writer is including Portland on a tour this fall to promote her best-selling novel.
The book is mainly set in Seattle, but pivotal scenes happen at the Heathman Hotel in downtown Portland.
The hotel's general manager said fans are taking photos in the lobby all the time these days. The hotel now even has packages based on scenes in the book.
The author will go to Seattle on Sept. 22.
