Police said a concerned neighbor's 911 call led to the arrest of a suspected burglar in north Portland's Kenton neighborhood.
Thursday afternoon, detectives said the caller reported seeing a man climb into a neighbor's house through a bedroom window. The witness said he saw the burglar use a knife to cut through a screen before getting in.
Police responded by setting up a perimeter around the house and quickly took Brian Hammond into custody.
Police said Hammond had a knife and items from the home in his possession at the time of his arrest.
