
Two local athletes are bringing home some hardware from London.
Nathan Adrian of Bremerton, Wash., was the anchor in freestyle of the medley relay that saw Michael Phelps end his career with another gold yesterday.
Galen Rupp of Portland took silver yesterday in the 10,000 meters at the London Olympics after being held off by training partner Mo Farah of Britain, who won gold.
Rupp and Farah both trained for the Olympics in Portland.
The Somali-born Farah kicked away from a big pack coming into the final straight and won in 27 minutes, 30.42 seconds. He held off training partner Rupp, who took silver in 27:30.90.
