ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said a TriMet supervisor car was struck head-on by an Audi on Southwest 185th Avenue near Southwest Johnson Street Sunday evening.

Witnesses told deputies that the driver of an Audi, 21-year-old Joel Forsyth of Aloha, was speeding prior to the crash.  Investigators determined that Forsyth was driving north on Southwest 185th Avenue from Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway when he lost control of his car and crossed the center line near Southwest Johnson Street.

A Ford Escape driven by a TriMet supervisor was in the center turn lane merging into the southbound lanes of Southwest 185th Avenue. Forsyth hit the Ford Escape head-on and flipped the car on its top.  Mr. Forsyth then struck a moving truck and came to a stop.

The driver of the TriMet vehicle, 46-year-old Boulahana Driss, was transported to Emanuel Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the moving truck was not injured nor was Forsyth's female passenger.

Forsyth was not injured and is under investigation for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and assault. He was not arrested at the scene.
