PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A familiar face is behind bars in Portland once again, this time facing federal bank robbery charges.
On Saturday morning, police arrested 25-year-old Timothy Chapek after they say he robbed the US Bank on SW 20th and Morrison.
Chapek made his first court appearance in the case Monday morning.
On Saturday, police said Chapek walked into the bank and demanded cash.
He didn't appear to have any weapons, but he did get away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Officers spotted him getting on a nearby MAX train and they eventually caught and arrested him at the Goose Hollow platform.
Chapek has a notable history with local police.
Last year, investigators said he broke into a house in Portland and the homeowner came home and caught him showering.
While he was locked in the bathroom, police said Chapek called 911 on himself.
Before that, investigators said Chapek stole a BMW from a local dealership and broke into a Papa Murphy's pizza shop.
On Monday, Chapek was only arraigned on a parole violation - federal bank robbery charges are expected to be filed later this week.
