Police: Body found in van in northwest Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Investigators are working to identify a body found in a van parked in Old Town China Town.

Portland police say someone let them know about a strong smell coming from the van at Northwest Sixth Avenue and Flanders Street.

Firefighters went inside the van to check it out and found a person dead.

Forensic investigators and the Medical Examiner are investigating.
