OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -
A 64-year-old man was taken into custody Wednesday after a neighbor called 911 to report he was in his pajamas firing a gun from his front porch.
It all started at 1:30 p.m. on the 15000 block of South Hill Valley Lane.
A neighbor called 911 to report the situation.
The caller told dispatchers it was highly unusual for the suspect.
When deputies arrived, he had gone back in his house and refused to come out, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
The SWAT team and hostage negotiators then responded to the scene to try and get him to come out.
At about 4:30 p.m., they made contact with Grant Brough, 64. He was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies said he will be charged with reckless endangering. They also said alcohol is believed to be a factor in this case.
Investigators said he wasn't aiming at anything specific, just firing randomly into the neighborhood.
No reason for his behavior has been given yet, according to deputies.
