ROCKAWAY BEACH, OR (KPTV) -

The Coast Guard rescued four swimmers who got swept away from shore near Rockaway Beach.

A witness reported two adults and two children struggling in the water near Surf Sands Resort at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A rescue boat was able to locate the group and pulled all four swimmers to safety. The crew gave the survivors blankets because they were showing signs of hypothermia. They were all treated by medics when they got to shore.

The two adults had reportedly jumped into the water to save the two children. All of them are in good condition.
