DAMASCUS, OR (KPTV) -
Investigators have released more details about a crash in Damascus that sent a bicyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of a minivan hit Julio Lopez as she was attempting to turn into a Dairy Queen parking lot from Highway 212 Wednesday afternoon, investigators said.
Clackamas County deputies cited the driver for making an unsafe left turn and for driving uninsured, FOX 12 learned.
The driver told deputies she did not see Lopez, who was in a marked bicycle lane and wearing a helmet.
Lopez was taken by Life Flight to a Portland-area hospital with serious injuries.
