A man who stole an urn containing the ashes of a baby is going to prison.
Shawn Johnson pleaded guilty to burglary, theft and abuse of a memorial Thursday. He was sentenced to four years behind bars.
Deputies arrested Johnson and Chrystal Castillo for the burglary of a home in Sherwood in May.
Investigators said they took the urn containing the ashes of a baby who died in 2010 of SIDS, along with a gun, computer, tools and other items from the home.
Detectives found the urn and the tools 10 days after the burglary, but the ashes had been dumped out.
There is no case yet against Castillo related to the burglary. She was also wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Yamhill County.
