PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Police said a driver ran away from the scene of a serious crash in northeast Portland, but he was eventually arrested and charged with DUII.
The crash happened just after midnight at Northeast 96th and Glisan near the northbound off ramp of Interstate 205.
When police arrived, they found a van rolled over on its top. A Volkswagen Jetta was also involved, and possibly a third car, according to police.
One passenger was hurt and taken to the hospital. That person's condition is not known.
Witnesses told offers the driver accused of causing the crash ran away. Police later found Justin Clark, 26, of Portland on the bike path next to the freeway.
He was arrested and faces charges of DUII, reckless driving and failing to perform the duties of a driver.
A witness told FOX 12 he was driving in the area with some friends when the crash happened and they saw the van flip over.
"I was in the back seat of my friend's car, and we just see this van flip over," said Alex Serna. "We got out and tried to help my friend, I mean, the guy that was in there. And we just tried helping him out, and we went to the other guy and he just like, he fell. He just ran away."
