Audition online to be on 'American Idol'

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

If you've got access to the internet, you could be the next American Idol.

The hit Fox 12 show is now hosting online auditions for singers to be part of season 12 of American Idol.

You have until Aug. 20 to submit an audition video online.

If you're not much of a singer, but you know someone who is, you can also nominate them to be on the show.

Online audition submissions and the "Nominate an Idol" feature are both available at https://auditions.americanidol.com.
