PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Portland police arrested two men near McCoy Park, after discovering a short-barrel shotgun in their car.
Officers said they had information that the illegal weapon was inside a car in the area.
The Gang Enforcement Team and a K-9 unit also responded to the scene.
Police said Christopher Jordan, 20, Terrence Williams, 29, and Erica Williams, 25, were inside the car.
Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop at North Kilpatrick Street and Dwight Avenue. They said all three people followed their commands and were taken into custody.
In the trunk, investigators found a short-barrel shotgun that also had a .22-caliber long rifle barrel.
Police said Jordan and Terrence Williams are both documented gang members.
Jordan is facing charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an illegal weapon and possession of cocaine.
Terrence Williams had an outstanding parole violation warrant.
The driver, Erica Williams, was released at the scene.
The case has been referred to the U.S. Attorney's Office for possible federal prosecution.
