Teen ATV rider dies at Oregon Dunes - KPTV - FOX 12

A crash killed a 16-year-old at the Oregon Dunes Thursday afternoon.
Deputies responded to an ATV crash at the recreation area in Winchester Bay.
The teen had crashed his KTM motorcycle into a Polaris RZR side by side ATV driven by Christopher Cowen.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
Amy Cowen, a passenger on the ATV, was treated at Lower Umpqua Hospital for unknown injuries.
Deputies say the motorcycle was jumping over a dune and collided with the ATV which was climbing up the other side. The motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet.
The name of the teen is not being released until his family can be notified.
