SHERWOOD, OR (KTPV) -
A 17-year-old was arrested in Sherwood, after police said they found a drug lab in his home.
This all happened on the 17000 block of Southwest King Richard Court just after 6 pm Thursday.
Police say it was the teen's family who called to report what they had found inside of their home.
Officers responded to the scene and evacuated the home.
Expert teams came in and determined that it was an active clandestine drug lab. They said the drug being made is dimethyltryptamine, or DMT.
That is a known as a powerful psychedelic drug.
Officials removed the lab from the home and it was handled according to their protocol.
The unnamed 17-year-old was arrested and faces charges including manufacturing a controlled substance and doing it within 1,000 feet of a school.
He was lodged at the Donald E. Long juvenile facility.
