A Portland man was naked and screaming when he ran from the scene of an injury accident near Sauvie Island, according to Oregon State Police.
Investigators said Roger Shaw, 30, was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Suburban on Aug. 11 when the vehicle hit a utility pole along Highway 30 and went up an embankment before landing on its wheels.
Witnesses reported seeing an injured Shaw running from the vehicle across the highway and over a guardrail. Shortly after the crash, deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and troopers from the Oregon State Police said they found Shaw naked in the water at a nearby moorage.
Shaw was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
He was later cited for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Hit and Run, investigators said.
