PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A man was shot in the neck in Northeast Portland early Wednesday morning and the shooter is still on the loose.
Police said Michael Kent Jr., 26, of Portland, suffered a single gunshot wound to the neck. He was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.
It happened at about 12:30 a.m. in front of King School on Northeast 6th Avenue.
Officers and a K9 unit searched the neighborhood for the gunman but were unable to track him down.
The Gange Enforcement Team is investigating the case.
Police said the suspect's race is not known, but he was wearing dark shorts and a dark hoodie. He was last seen running south through King School Park.

Crimestoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
