Complete burn ban issued for Gresham

GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

A complete burn ban is in effect for Gresham.

The city said any burning of yard debris, agricultural burning, burning with a permit or recreational campfires are prohibited until further notice.

That includes manmade fire pits and store-bought outdoor fireplaces.

The ban covers Gresham, Troutdale, Fairview, Wood Village and the unincorporated areas in Multnomah County Fire District 10.

Barbecue grilling is still allowed, but firefighters said extreme caution should be used with charcoal briquettes.
