Milwaukie drug warrant prompts SWAT raid

MILWAUKIE, OR (KPTV) -

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies raided a home on McLoughlin Boulevard in Milwaukie on a drug warrant.

A SWAT team was sent to search the home of Matthew Magistrale, 23, who was wanted on a possession of cocaine charge.

Deputies surrounded the home on Thursday afternoon, but Magistrale refused to surrender. Neighbors were evacuated from the area and deputies gassed the apartment several times.

Magistrale finally surrendered and was taken into custody.

Deputies said he won't face additional charges for resisting arrest.
