Crash causes early morning closure of West Burnside

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to a single car rollover crash on West Burnside Street at Southwest Tichner Drive this morning.

When they arrived, officers located the car and discovered the driver was the only occupant. The officers on scene were quickly joined by crews members from The Portland Fire Bureau and AMR Ambulance.

The driver, an adult male, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Forensic Evidence Division and the Traffic Division Major Crash Team conducted the investigation.

West Burnside was shut down west Southwest Tichner Drive from about 2:15 a.m. until shortly after 6 a. m. while the crash was being investigated.
