Albany man arrested for sex crimes

ALBANY, OR (KPTV) -

A high school shop teacher in Albany has admitted to paying a teen girl to send sexually explicit pictures and video to this cell phone.

Detectives arrested David Wright II, 45, Thursday after searching his home. They seized several computers and cell phones and believe 200-300 illegal images were sent to Wright.

Wright is a metal shop teacher at South Albany High School. Detectives said the 16-year old victim is a family friend and not a student.

Detectives are not aware of any other victims.

Wright is currently at the Linn County Jail.
