HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -
A practice flight ended with a small plane flipping over at the Twin Oaks Air Park in Washington County.
David Zaayer, 61, of Portland was the single occupant of the plane. He told deputies that he was landing at the airfield and flipped over.
Zaayer reported that as he came in for landing the tail of the plane got too high and his propeller hit the runway causing the plane to flip.
Zaayer was not hurt in the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration was notified and was going to investigate the crash.
The plane involved in the crash is a 1947 Luscombe 8E.
The Twin Oaks Airport is a private airstrip that operates on visual flight rules.
