PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
The decision to approve a massive construction plan for Portland schools is now in the hands of voters.
The school board voted to put the $482 million bond on the November ballot Monday night.
Five people testified at the hearing, all in favor of the bond measure.
The bond will pay to remodel four schools and upgrade many others for earthquake safety and accessibility.
If you own a home valued at about $250,000, the bond measure would cost you about $275 more per year.
