PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Bullets from a drive-by shooting struck a Wells Fargo bank branch and shattered windows Tuesday evening in southeast Portland.
Portland police said multiple shots were fired at a person on the sidewalk in front of the bank at 12005 S.E. Division St.
The target of the shooting managed to flee the area on foot.
No one inside the bank was injured in the shooting, which was first reported at 5:32 p.m.
The suspect managed to escape in an unknown vehicle. One witness said the shooter was in a red car.
Witness Angel Mata said he heard the shots being fired and saw the shooter.
"I threw myself on the floor, but then I see the car turn next to the bank into this property and they went so fast, shooting," he said.
Police said the investigation is in its early stages and no suspect information is available at this time.
