Fugitive in hospital after officer involved shooting

ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

A fugitive is in the hospital after an officer involved shooting in Aloha. It happened at about noon Tuesday at the Devonshire Manor Apartments on southwest Rosa Road.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force found the suspect Michael Tate at the apartment. One officer fired his gun and then police said Tate dove out a third-floor window. Police surround Tate on the ground below and then paramedics took him to the hospital.

Tate was wanted for allegedly assaulting and strangling his girlfriend Sunday night in Beaverton and for a parole violation in Multnomah County.
