LOS ANGELES (KPTV/AP) -

Kanye West is the latest name to be thrown into the judges pool at "American Idol."

TMZ reports the hip hop star is in talks to join Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and possibly Nicki Minaj as judges.

"American Idol" executives reportedly reached out to West, who has expressed interest, but is still on the fence. Sources told TMZ the rapper is demanding at least as much money as Carey, who is set to make a reported $18 million per year.

"Idol" is still working to replace outgoing judges Jennifer Lopez and STeven Tyler, who announced their exits from the show last month.

Minaj -- known for her colorful hairstyles, wardrobe and antics and best known for hits like "Super Bass" and "Starships" is favored to fill one of the judges spots.

TMZ says Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Enrique Iglesias are favorites to fill a fourth spot.
