A Washington wildfire is closing down campgrounds, trails and roads near Yakima.
The Diamond Butte fire started Aug. 19 from numerous lightening strikes.
It has burned 331 acres in extremely difficult terrain about 20 miles west of Yakima, according to firefighters.
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources has announced the closure of Ahtanum Meadows, Ahtanum Campground and Whites Ridge Trailhead to assist with the firefighting efforts.
The closures are expected to last at least through the weekend.
Access to Middle Fork Road is closed to the public and will be limited to authorized personnel only.
