PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A 21-year-old man is recovering from gunshot wounds after an early morning shooting in Portland's Hazelwood neighborhood.
It happened just after 1 a.m. Tuesday near Northeast 102nd and East Burnside.
Police say the victim was found lying in a parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics took him to a local hospital with critical injuries. Police say he is expected to survive.
Witnesses told FOX 12 they heard as many as seven gunshots.
Police centered much of their investigation around an apartment complex that's across the street from the Gateway Children's Center and right next door to the Gateway Care Center.
Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
Officers did an extensive search of the area and interviewed several witnesses, but no arrests have been made in the case, police said.
