A cafe in the southern Oregon town of Ashland that tried to cater to medical marijuana patients has closed its doors.
Co-owner Kevin Wallace tells The Daily Tidings that business slowed after it was forced to open to the general public and tell medical marijuana patients to bring their own pot.
Originally, the Earth Dragon Edibles Restaurant & Lounge served Mongolian barbecue cooked with marijuana-infused oil only to card-holding medical marijuana patients, who could belly up and take a toke from the free hash bar while waiting for their food.
The city of Ashland rejected a business license for that operation but approved one for a restaurant open to all. Wallace says medical marijuana cardholders didn't feel comfortable after that.
