Deputies stepping up DUII patrols for Labor Day

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The sheriff's offices for six local counties have agreed to target drunk drivers this Labor Day weekend.

Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Yamhill, Washington and Clark counties will all see increased DUII patrols for the holiday.

The sheriffs for each county said the goal is to have no traffic-related deaths during the holiday weekend.

Thousands of miles of will be patrolled as part of this mission with deputies actively looking for impaired and dangerous drivers.
