Portland Pirate Festival kicks off Saturday

ST. HELENS, OR (KPTV) -

Ahoy ye mateys, it's time once again for the Portland Pirate Festival.

The seventh-annual event kicks off Saturday in St. Helens.

It starts at 10 a.m. and goes until midnight Saturday, while Sunday's festivities start at the same time but will wrap up at 11 p.m.

The festival features events for landlubbers of all ages, including battle shows, demonstrations on historic European swordsmanship, inflatable rides for the kids and musical performances.
