
Two people managed to cling to logs in the Clackamas River after they were swept down the river Monday afternoon.
Clackamas firefighters launched a rescue operation for the two people, believed to be adults, around 1 p.m. near Milo McIver State Park outside of Estacada. One was wearing a life jacket and the other was not.
According to a tweet from the Clackamas Fire District, the two people were removed from the river and being checked for injuries.
One of the two people is believed to have suffered some sort of leg injury. A LifeFlight helicopter is also responding just in case the injuries are severe.
