A fire destroyed everything inside a Vancouver home.
Flames erupted around 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday at a home on NE Tenny Road in Salmon Creek.
The mother who lives in the home had just left for work and her two teenage daughters were still at home asleep when they heard the smoke detectors go off.
The sisters ran outside and one of them called 911 while they waited for their mother's friend to return from dropping her off at work.
Officials said the fire started in or near a first-floor bathroom and burned a significant portion of the main floor.
The second floor was also damaged.
"Everything we own is in the house," said Rhonda Parker, who has been staying at the home for several years.
The cause is still under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious.
