Police: Happy Valley man arrested for ID theft

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

A manager of a popular Clackamas credit company is behind bars Tuesday, charged with identity theft and forgery.

Happy Valley Police say Jeffery Jackson used his position at Credit Concepts Inc. to give himself a loan and even to buy a car using someone else's identity.

Police say the suspect was at Credit Concepts Inc for six years under a stolen identity.

There are at least six victims that they know of so far, but police believe there could be many more out there who just don't know it.

Police say they were tipped off to Jackson after a victim came forward, saying that his identity had been stolen and also used to take out a loan for a car purchased through Credit Concepts Inc.

Police say the victim only discovered it, when he went to buy a car for his company.

Police say Jackson's alleged victims come from all corners of the country.

Jackson is set to appear in a Clackamas County courtroom Wednesday on charges of identity theft and forgery.

He is being held on a $45,000 bail.

FOX 12 reached out to Credit Concepts Inc Tuesday, who said they would not comment on the situation as it is an ongoing investigation.
