Ex-youth minister sentenced to 35 years in prison

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A former youth minister convicted of sex abuse will spend 35 years behind bars.

A Clark County Judge sentenced Michael Norris on Tuesday.

The former camp counselor was first arrested back in 2006, following a federal investigation into a child pornography distribution website.

Local Police began investigating as well.

Norris admitted to abusing at least four children and taking pornographic pictures of at least two of them.

Tuesday's sentencing follows the earlier federal case, where he received 25 years and lifetime supervised release.
