ASTORIA, OR (KPTV) -
An Astoria teen accused in a school shooting plot withdrew his guilty plea Tuesday.
Prosecutors said the 16-year-old tried to convince another teen to help him shoot students at Astoria High School last year.
The boy admitted to the crime in April, but a judge allowed him to withdraw that guilty plea following a psychological evaluation.
Instead, the teen has been found not guilty by reason of insanity and will be committed to a children's psychiatric facility.
He could be held until the age of 25.
The decision will be made by a juvenile psychiatric review board.
