PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Portland police credit an alert neighbor for helping them catch two burglary suspects in southeast Portland.
Officers were called to the home on the 2000 block of Southeast 20th Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A neighbor called 911 and reported seeing a man climbing through a back window of a home while another man walked out to the sidewalk acting as a lookout.
Officers arrived and found the two men in an alleyway just north of the home.
Samuel Baldwin, 21, and Jett Thomas, 28, were taken into custody. Police said the suspects had stolen property with them.
They are charged with first-degree burglary.
The neighbor who called 911 remained on the line and police said the arrest may not have been possible without that person's key updates.
