CORVALLIS, OR (KPTV) -
A 22-year-old woman died and another man was seriously hurt in a crash on Highway 34 near Corvallis.
Oregon State Police said it happened at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at milepost 2 by Northeast Colorado Lake Drive.
A GMC Suburban attempted to change lanes in front of a car and clipped the right front section of the car, according to investigators.
The driver of the car lost control and then collided head-on with a Jeep Liberty. The Jeep driver, Larry Dodge, 52, of Shedd, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
The driver of the car, 22-year-old Chelsea Duffy, of Myrtle Creek, was killed in the wreck.
The driver of the Suburban, Valorie Carrigan, 35, of Blodgett, returned to the scene of the crash and cooperated with investigators.
Highway 34 was restricted to a single lane of traffic in each direction while investigators were at the scene.
All lanes of the highway had reopened by 7:15 p.m.
