Reward offered to catch so-called "Hipster Bandit"

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a cash reward for $1,000 to help police nab the so-called "Hipster Bandit."

Investigators believe the man is responsible for a bank robbery in NE Portland's Rose City Park Neighborhood.

On Friday, Aug. 31, the Albina Community bank on NE Sandy Boulevard was robbed.

Bank employees told police that the suspect walked into the bank and presented a demand note.

After getting some cash, the robber left the area on foot, police said.

Officers searched the neighborhood, but did not find anyone matching the description of the robber.

The suspect is described as a white or Asian man in his early 30s, 5'7" tall with a thin build.

He has dark hair and was wearing a black cap, tan shirt and glasses at the time of the robbery. He also was carrying a black bag.

Police said he's also described as looking like a hipster.
