FOX 12's Most Wanted ripped off thousands of dollars worth of equipment from a local nonprofit and now members of the group are hoping you can help.
On Tuesday morning, members of the Vancouver Moose Lodge found that someone had broken into their backyard storage unit and cleaned them out, stealing yard maintenance equipment and even a riding lawn mower.
Administrator Chris Dingus said the thieves took a Honda pressure washer, a chainsaw, an air compressor motor, a kids' bouncy castle, a leaf blower and a John Deere riding lawn mower.
It was no easy task, so Dingus thinks the suspects did some careful planning.
"You know, you'd have to have a trailer or you'd have to make two trips in a truck," said Dingus. "So someone had time and either knew what they were going for or saw what they had and decided to come back later."
As for who's to blame, Dingus said there are apartments right behind the lodge and people who occasionally park in their lot overnight.
He hopes there's no connection to one of their members but no matter who's responsible, Dingus said it's a big letdown.
"It's a place where we come together to hang out as friends and family and we're a not for profit, so for somebody to do this, it's disappointing."
