PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Officials say they have wrapped up the first phase of their investigation into what caused the five-alarm fire at the vacant Thunderbird Hotel last week.
Investigators say they have processed the evidence at the fire scene and are interviewing witnesses and examining photographs.
They still do not know what sparked the massive fire that was smoking for days.
Portland Fire and Rescue is working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on this case. They have not ruled out arson as a possible cause.
The ATF is looking for tips, videos or photos of the five-alarm fire that was reported just before 3 a.m. Sunday.
Anyone who can help is asked to call 1-800-800-3855 and select option 2 at the first voice prompt, then option 3 at the second prompt.
