OSP search for driver of stolen car

WEST LINN, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon State Police called off the search for the driver of stolen car involved in a high-speed chase.

Troopers tried to stop a BMW on I-5 near Woodburn Monday morning, but it took off, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph.

They lost sight of the car on I-205 but later found it abandoned near Mary S. Young State Park in the West Linn area at about 3:20 a.m.

The car was reported stolen from the Eugene area Sunday afternoon.

Anyone with information on the driver is asked to call Oregon State Police.
