BEAVERCREEK, OR (KPTV) -
A 63-year-old homeowner fought off a burglar Tuesday night in Beavercreek.
It happened at the home on South Moehnke Court at about 10:20 p.m.
Deputies said the homeowner was sitting in his home when a man entered through an open door. The homeowner then confronted the man and they got into a fight.
Deputies said the victim shouted for his wife to get a gun, which she did. Before the gun was used, the would-be burglar punched the man's wife and ran off.
The homeowner said he though he heard a car leaving the area.
Deputies and a canine unit searched for the man but were unable to find him.
The burglar is described as a white man who is 6' tall with a stout build.
