Arrest made in Woodburn Wells Fargo robbery

WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

Woodburn Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank on Newberg Highway.

Officers identified the suspect as 22-year-old Antonio Martinez.

Police said they got a tip and arrested Martinez at his apartment on South Evergreen Street on Wednesday.

The robbery happened last Tuesday. Police said Martinez displayed a gun during the robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank on Newberg Highway before he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Woodburn police set up a perimeter and searched the area with a K-9, but was unsuccessful at locating the suspect.

Martinez now faces robbery and menacing charges.
