PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Investigators believe an early morning shooting at a north Portland park that sent two men to the hospital was gang-related.
Police were called out to North Fessenden Street and Oswego Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Thursday to reports of a shooting.
Officers located one gunshot victim at that location, 19-year-old Tyler Duffy.
A second victim, Lisandro Hernandez, 21, flagged down an ambulance at North Columbia Boulevard and Argyle Way.
Duffy's injuries were more serious, according to police, but both men are expected to survive.
Officers learned that earlier they had both been at Cathedra Park under the St. John's Bridge.
Investigators said that's where they got into a dispute with Krishan Kumar, 23.
After that ended and the victims were leaving the park, officers said Kumar returned and confronted them with a gun.
As Duffy and Hernandez drove away, police said Kumar fired several rounds at them and hit them both.
Two other men were in the car as well, but they have not yet been identified and it's unknown if they were hit.
Kumar was arrested at his home after a cooperative family member arranged it with police.
Officers recovered the handgun they believe was used in the shooting.
Kumar is charged with attempted murder, assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police originally reported the dispute between the men may have been over a woman.
Officers now believe it's a gang-related shooting. If you know anything about this case, call detectives at 503-823-2137.
