TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

A driver experienced a medical emergency on Interstate 5 Thursday morning that resulted in a crash that left her car on its top.

Police said Amy Blankenheim, 33, of Salem, was driving northbound near Tualatin at 8 a.m. when she had what may have been a seizure.

Her car collided with the left rear side of a Jeep and then continued toward the right shoulder.

Her car hit an impact barrier at the bottom of the offramp to Nyberg Road and flipped onto its top.

Blankenheim was trapped inside the car upside down, secured by her seat belt.

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue workers got her out and she was taken to Oregon Health & Science University.

Her injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The driver of the Jeep was not hurt.

The offramp was closed for about an hour.
