PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A big potato is hitching a ride across the country for a good cause.
The Great Big Idaho Potato Truck made its way to the Fred Meyer Store on Southeast 82nd Avenue in Portland to raise money for Meals on Wheels.
The not-so-tiny tater is 28' long, 12' wide and more than 11' tall.
It's not real, however. It was specially "cultivated" in honor of the Idaho Potato Commission's 75th anniversary.
A real potato that size would take more than 10,000 years to grow and two years and nine months to bake. Oh, and it would also serve up 30,325 servings of mashed potatoes. Now that's a Thanksgiving meal.
