Columbia River Crossing Project funding questioned

Posted: Updated:
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The project director for the Columbia River Crossing Project said time is ticking away on making the project a reality.

Kris Strickler told an Oregon Legislative Committee that there's a window of only about two years to come up with a plan to raise the local money necessary for the project.

The tab is expected to be about $450 million each for Washington and Oregon.

Strickler said if that timeline isn't met, the federal transportation dollars earmarked for the project might end up going away.
